Set high above Trefriw at Llanrhychwyn, this small hill church is reputedly the oldest in Snowdonia, and by tradition the chapel Llywelyn the Great used before he built one down in the valley. Rough stone walls, a low roof and an old font; it’s reached by a lane and then a short walk up. Worth the climb if you find it open.
