St Mary in the Marsh is a plain, whitewashed church at the heart of Romney Marsh. In the churchyard is the grave of E. Nesbit, author of The Railway Children, marked by a simple carved wooden board rather than a headstone. Usually open daily. The nearest station is Ham Street, about 9km to the north-west.
