St Dionysius, Market Harborough
St Dionysius stands right in the middle of Market Harborough, its tall broach spire rising straight off Church Square. The tower and spire date from soon after 1300 and Pevsner rated the spire one of the finest of its kind in the country. It began as a chapel-of-ease to nearby Great Bowden, which is why it has no churchyard and sits directly on the street. The station is a few minutes’ walk east.
