Holy Trinity Church, St Andrews
Holy Trinity is the medieval town kirk of St Andrews, and it was here in 1547 that John Knox preached his first public sermon, an opening shot of the Scottish Reformation. Much of the interior was reworked in an early 20th-century restoration, but the medieval tower survives. It’s open to visitors and free to enter, a short walk from the cathedral ruins and the university buildings.
