Down a quiet lane in the Wychwood country stands All Saints, a small medieval chapel whose plastered nave walls keep an unusual spread of medieval paintings — saints and scenes still legible after a fashion. It’s kept open for visitors, and rewards a slow look. Charlbury station is about 2.5km to the east, across the Evenlode valley.
