A ringwork castle once stood here — today it survives as earthworks in Bedfordshire. The Albion Guide lists three ringwork castles in the county; this is one of them. For arrivals by rail, Bedford St Johns Station is 6.1 km to the west. Other castles nearby include Gannocks Castle and Bedford Castle.
