Biddenham wraps inside a loop of the Great Ouse just west of Bedford, a village of thatched cottages and old pubs that has kept its green edges despite the town next door. Riverside paths run out along the Ouse from the village. Bedford station is under two miles east, which makes it an easy walk out of the town.
