Rhossili Bay is the great three-mile arc of sand that fills the western end of the Gower, backed by the steep slope of Rhossili Down and often near-empty despite its fame. At the south end the tidal island of Worm’s Head reaches into the sea; at the north lies Burry Holms. The wreck of the Helvetia shows through the sand at low tide. Reach the beach from Rhossili village, down a steep path.
