Broughton Bay is a dune-backed beach at the north-west corner of the Gower, round from Whiteford Sands and backed by a caravan park. There’s sand at low tide with rocky patches, but strong currents run off Whiteford Point, so it suits walking better than swimming. A path leads on round to Blue Pool Bay. Pembrey & Burry Port station is across the estuary, a long way round by road.
