Llanmadoc Hill rises over the north-west corner of the Gower, its heathery top carrying the Bulwark, a well-preserved Iron Age hillfort with banks and ditches. From up here the view runs out over Whiteford Point and across the Loughor estuary into Carmarthenshire. It’s open-access common, walked up from Llanmadoc village or Cwm Ivy, and boggy in places after rain.
