Ogmore Beach lies where the River Ogmore meets the sea below Ogmore-by-Sea, a broad run of sand and rock backed by dunes. Upstream sit the ruins of Ogmore Castle and the stepping stones across the river towards Merthyr Mawr. The tide and river currents at the estuary can run strong, so swimming needs care. There’s parking along the front.
