Cullen’s sandy bay runs west from the harbour beneath the town’s grand railway viaduct, a curve of stone arches left from a long-closed line. It’s a fine, easy beach for a walk, and the town behind it is the home of Cullen skink, the smoked-haddock soup — worth a bowl before or after. The rock arch at Bow Fiddle Rock is just along the coast.
