Cocklawburn is the beach Berwick locals slip away to — a quiet run of sand, rock pools and low dunes a few miles south of town, with old lime kilns crumbling on the bank above. It’s good for rock-pooling or a swim well away from the crowds. Park in the small pull-ins along the shore road. Berwick-upon-Tweed and its station are a short drive north.
