Eas Mòr means simply big waterfall in Gaelic, and it is one — a long drop where the Allt Coire Banachdich falls through a deep, sheer-sided gorge high in Glen Brittle on Skye, with the ridge of the Cuillin Hills filling the sky above. There’s no made path to it: you follow the burn up on a rough walk from the Glenbrittle campsite and hostel road, over open hillside, and the ground near the gorge falls away steeply, so keep well back from the edge and don’t try to scramble down to the water. It’s usually taken in on the way up towards Sgurr na Banachdich, one of the Cuillin peaks, rather than as an outing on its own. The Fairy Pools lie over the hill to the north, and Glenbrittle Beach is a short way down the glen.
