Local highlightApproximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
A low headland south of Glenbrittle, packed with history for its size: a Neolithic chambered cairn, an Iron Age dun on its loch, and a short canal the Vikings are thought to have cut to link their loch to the sea. It’s reached by a fine coastal walk of a few miles from the Glenbrittle campsite, with the Cuillin at your back. A rewarding half-day out for anyone who likes their scenery with a bit of archaeology.
