St Abbs is the picture-book Berwickshire village, its white cottages tumbling down to a little working harbour under the cliffs. The clear water off the headland is Britain’s first voluntary marine reserve, a favourite with divers, and the coast path north to St Abb’s Head is superb for seabirds. Film buffs may recognise it as “New Asgard” from Avengers: Endgame. Coldingham is just inland.
