A wood-fired community sauna on the seafront at St Abbs harbour, looking out over the North Sea
Save this place
Salting Station parks its wood-fired sauna in the campervan car park on the seafront at St Abbs harbour, looking straight out to sea. Petra, who runs it, grew up with Hungarian spa culture and trained as a marine biologist, and the name comes from the herring salting station the village once had. You cool off under a cold shower or in the sea, and shared sessions take up to six people.
