Sandsend is a line of cottages where two becks run down to the sea, at the northern end of a long beach that stretches roughly two miles south to Whitby. At low tide you can walk the sands most of the way beneath the cliffs. There’s a café or two and easy parking by the front. Whitby’s station is about 4km along the coast.
