Portloe is a tiny fishing village on the Roseland, folded into a steep valley that opens to a rocky cove. A handful of cottages, a slipway and a couple of boats make up most of it — there’s little to do beyond walk the coast path in either direction, and that smallness is rather the point. Truro is the nearest town, about 13km inland.
