The Rising Sun sits almost on the shingle at Portmellon, a small cove just around the headland from Mevagissey. It’s a whitewashed inn with the beach on its doorstep, quiet out of season and busier when the cove fills in summer. Mevagissey’s harbour is an easy walk over the hill.
