Trelissick sits out on a wooded peninsula where the Fal opens into the wide anchorage of Carrick Roads, with water on three sides and views down towards Falmouth. The National Trust garden is known for hydrangeas and tender shrubs; beyond it, parkland walks drop to the shore. The King Harry chain ferry crosses the river just below. Perranwell station is about 5km west, near Feock.
