Open to visitorsa private estate — the garden opens one charity weekend each spring; tea tours by appointment
Home to the Boscawen family since 1334, Tregothnan sits above the Fal estuary near Truro and is now known as the site of Britain’s only tea plantation, grown in the sheltered valley climate. The wider estate stays private, but there’s a ticketed open weekend each spring when the gardens — full of camellias, magnolias and huge rhododendrons — are opened up, plus bookable tours and tastings through the Tea Centre year-round. Truro station is about 5.5km away.
