Limekilns is a small village on the Forth shore, looking across the water to the Queensferry bridges. Robert Louis Stevenson used it in Kidnapped, where his hero David Balfour is ferried over the firth from here. It sits just west of Charlestown, with Rosyth station a few kilometres to the east.
