South Queensferry is a cobbled former ferry town on the south shore of the Forth, sitting right beneath the three great bridges — the Victorian rail bridge, the older road bridge and the newer Queensferry Crossing. Its narrow High Street, partly two-tiered, keeps a real historic feel. Down by the water you’ll find The Hawes Inn under the rail bridge. Dalmeny station is about 1km east, and boat trips run out to Inchcolm Island in season.
