Seven centuries of services ended here in 1830, when the parish followed its people north to the Fordell coal village and the roof came off. What is left stands in a graveyard right on the Fife Coastal Path — the rectangle of the 1100s kirk, whose worship was arranged by the Augustinian canons of Inchcolm out in the firth, with post-Reformation alterations over it. The gem is the two-storey Dunfermline Aisle of the 1600s, a laird’s loft with a retiring room above the family burial vault. Open access, free. Dalgety Bay station is about 2km away.
