Aberdour’s Silver Sands is a sheltered beach of golden sand looking out across the Forth, and it regularly flies a Blue Flag for its water quality. There’s a car park behind the beach and the coastal path passes along the top. It makes a cracking day out from Edinburgh by train — Aberdour station is only about a kilometre away.
