An Edwardian seaside resort grew here on the northern shore of Morecambe Bay, and Grange-over-Sands keeps the long promenade and ornamental gardens to show for it. Behind the town the limestone climbs to Hampsfell, where an odd little stone shelter called the Hospice gives a wide view over the sands towards the Lakeland fells. The station sits right on the front.
