Glenborrodale spreads along the wooded south coast of Ardnamurchan above Loch Sunart, among oak woods that count as some of the best Atlantic rainforest left in Britain. The nearby Ardnamurchan Distillery, one of the remotest in Scotland, opened in 2014. Reaching the settlement is a long single-track drive along the B8007.
