Kilchoan is the most westerly village on the British mainland, and the Kilchoan Hotel — a former shooting lodge — is its pub and restaurant. It’s a welcome sight at the end of the long single-track B8007 through Ardnamurchan, out near the lighthouse at the peninsula’s tip. Rooms and bar meals, and a warm spot at the far end of a slow road; the drive out takes a while, so plan to stay.
