One of Scotland’s most remote distilleries, Ardnamurchan sits at Glenbeg on the shore of Loch Sunart, out along the single-track road west of Strontian. It’s been making whisky since 2014, run on local renewable power, and you can book a guided tour and browse the shop. Worth pairing with the long drive on to Ardnamurchan Point at the mainland’s western tip.
