A cluster of whitewashed cottages steps down the cliff to a small harbour at Collieston, once one of the busiest smuggling spots on the Buchan coast. Just to the south lies the Forvie National Nature Reserve, a huge sweep of shifting sand dunes and an important seabird reserve. Good coastal walking links the two.
