A broad green with a duck pond makes the centre of Biddestone, ringed by Cotswold-stone cottages, many of them Grade II listed. It’s a quiet spot a few miles west of Chippenham, with a pair of pubs and a small church set back from the houses. The lack of through-traffic has made it a regular film location.
