Scott's View
National iconWalter Scott's favourite Eildon panorama.
Scott’s View looks out over a great bend of the Tweed to the three peaks of the Eildon Hills, and was said to be Sir Walter Scott’s favourite outlook — the story goes his funeral horses paused here from habit on the way to Dryburgh. It’s an easy roadside stop, open year-round, with the Wallace statue and Scott’s grave at Dryburgh Abbey close by.
