The railway viaduct at Knaresborough strides across the Nidd gorge on tall stone arches, with rowing boats and riverside gardens below — one of Yorkshire’s most photographed views. It still carries the Harrogate–York line, so you can arrive by train right beside it. Best seen from the riverside path, or from the grounds of Mother Shipton’s Cave on the far bank.
