Holmbury Hill is a greensand summit above Peaslake, crowned by the earthworks of an Iron Age hillfort, with a broad view south over the Weald from a hilltop bench. It’s open access and free, and popular with walkers and mountain bikers in the surrounding Hurtwood. Gomshall station is about 5km north.
