Wartime codebreaking mansion and huts.
This is where the Second World War’s codebreakers worked, in a Victorian mansion and a scatter of wooden huts, cracking the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. The site is now a museum telling that story, with rebuilt machines including a working bombe. Open daily with an admission charge; Bletchley station is a few minutes’ walk to the south-east.
