Rushmere Country Park covers some 400 acres of woodland, heath and meadow on the Greensand Ridge near Leighton Buzzard, run by the Greensand Trust. Since 2009 it has taken in the old Stockgrove Country Park, which keeps its own entrance and car park at the northern end. Paths thread down to a lake with a café, and the higher ground opens out to wide views. Open access, with car parks and a visitor centre; Leighton Buzzard station is about 3km south.
