The apse at All Saints’, Wing, is the only fully preserved Anglo-Saxon apse in England, standing over a crypt of similar age — ninth-century work that survived every later rebuild. The rest of the church grew around it through the medieval centuries. It’s open at limited hours, so it’s worth checking before travelling. Leighton Buzzard station is about 4km to the north-east.
