Woburn is a handsome Georgian estate village, its wide high street lined with independent shops and places to eat. It is the gateway to Woburn Abbey, the Duke of Bedford’s seat, with its deer park and gardens, and to the neighbouring safari park. The Birch is a well-regarded dining pub just outside the village. Ridgmont station is about five km north.
