Two linked lakes on the edge of Milton Keynes, with a lakeside park, watersports and walking loops round the water. The quieter northern lake is a nature reserve, and above its shore stands a Buddhist Peace Pagoda — completed in 1980, the first built in the Western world. Free and open all year; Milton Keynes Central station is about 4km south-west.
