St George’s was consecrated on St George’s Day 1322 — the year George was named England’s patron saint — a big cruciform church with a central crossing tower above the green at Toddington. Inside are medieval brasses to the Peyvre and other local families. Open to visitors; Harlington station is about 3km to the north-east.
