Johnny Palmer bought the island beside Warleigh Weir, the well-known River Avon swimming spot near Bath, in 2017, and opened Aether Sauna there in November 2025. The wood-fired sauna takes ten people per session, and each session includes an Aufguss round, where the host wafts scented steam around the room to music. You cool off in the river. The operator asks you to park by the A36 and walk down Ferry Lane.
