The Oak Inn is a small painted-brick pub dating from 1719 in the hamlet of Bank, just south of Lyndhurst in the New Forest — Forest ponies often wander right up to the door. Log fires, local ales and food built on New Forest produce. Brockenhurst station is about 4km to the south-east.
