The Lion & Unicorn has stood on the road through Thornhill since 1635, which makes it one of the older coaching inns in these parts. It’s a pub-hotel now, with real ales, a good whisky range and food, well placed for a break between Stirling and the Trossachs. Dunblane station is about 12km to the east.
