Family-friendly and unfussy, the Waverley is a hotel bar on the main street in Callander, the busy little town at the eastern edge of the Trossachs. It’s not fancy — real ales and a straightforward pub menu — but a reliable stop if you’re passing through or based here for the lochs and hills. Dunblane station is about 17km to the south-east.
