Deanston Distillery sits in a converted cotton mill on the River Teith near Doune, built back in 1785 and turned over to whisky in the 1960s. Tours run through the old mill buildings, and there’s a café by the river if you just fancy a coffee and a look. Dunblane station is about 6km to the east.
