The gardens at Kilbryde Castle run to about twelve acres near Dunblane, dropping down towards a burn through informal, woodland and wilder sections. It’s a quiet, naturalistic place rather than a manicured one, at its best for spring bulbs and rhododendrons. Open on set days through Scotland’s Gardens Scheme — check the dates first. Dunblane station is about 4km to the south-east.
