A multi-award CAMRA favourite, the Cricketers Arms is a carefully restored Edwardian pub in Horbury, near Wakefield, all tilework and snug traditional rooms. It runs to drinks and light bites rather than a full kitchen, and is a genuine treat for ale drinkers. Wakefield Westgate is the closest station, about 4km to the north-east.
