E. Oldroyd & Sons are fifth-generation growers in the Rhubarb Triangle at Lofthouse, near Wakefield, where forced rhubarb is raised in dark, warm sheds and picked by candlelight. Through the winter forcing season they run candlelit shed tours, which are well worth booking if you can get on one. Tours are seasonal and by arrangement only; Outwood station is a couple of km to the south-west.
