Cannon Hall Farm is a working farm turned family day out near Cawthorne, west of Barnsley, with animals to meet, play barns and a farm shop and food hall. It sits beside the free public parkland of Cannon Hall itself, a Georgian house and museum with lakes and landscaped grounds worth a wander. The farm charges for entry, though the shop is free; Darton station is around 4km to the north-east.
